Mrs. Renuka Neelakanta is a person of very refined taste who adds sophistication in every step of implementation of the vision of the group. A very meticulous person, she brings practical learning into every day from society.

Through grant-making, direct implementation and co-partnership strategies, the foundation support and drive innovation in the areas of women empowerment, healthcare, and nutrition, education; rural livelihoods; enhancing civil society and governance; elderly care and diversified employment. The foundation engages with competent individuals and government bodies, international agencies and like-minded private sector organizations to nurture a self-sustaining eco-system that collectively works across all these areas.
The Butta Group continue to be guided by the principles of its Founder, B.S.Neelakantam With the Founder’s vision of proactive philanthropy and his approach to ‘giving’, the foundation catalyze societal development while ensuring that initiatives and interventions have a contemporary relevance to the nation. In addition to promoting and facilitating initiatives in elementary education, the Butta Group also award fellowships and merit scholarships to students pursuing higher studies. It grooms social scientists, cancer specialists, nuclear scientists and distinguished institutional administrators, who in turn have striven to make the country a power to reckon with in various fields, including science and technology. The Trusts also support causes and initiatives that provide disaster relief and aids in rescue work in case of calamities. The Trusts not only assist by providing grants and helping to mobilize funds, they also offer on-ground support directly as well as in partnership with other stakeholders.
In order to enhance the impact and ensure that interventions are sustainable, the Foundation has adopted a Parliament constituency -based approach, supporting multiple interlinked activities in identified parliament constituency of contiguous villages across select geographies across Andhra Pradesh and the Telangana States. Coupled with this, is the foundation ’ strict adherence to ensuring that robust financial systems are put in place with all partner organizations. Today, spread over 2 states across the country, programs supported by the foundation.
